I went to the mall yesterday and got this sweet ride. Originally we were going to Toys R Us to get the Manaphy pokemon thing, but I brought the wrong game cartridge. PLUS WE MADE A NAPKIN GOAST AND MADE A STYRAFOAM CUP PUKE.
I also got the book Tekkon Kinkreet.
Best Comic Ever
The story of two delinquents named Black and White who 'own' their city, " Treasure Town", and fight against assassins of the Yakuza, who are trying to make their home into an amusement park. It's much deeper than it's premise, has a wonderfully alternative style, and one of the utmost original and intriguing comics I have ever read. Taiyo Matsumoto as Tezuka's successor? Even he would be proud of the things Matsumoto has released ( Also Ping-Pong, a very funny book which is also an animated series and live action film)
Since Mee is on hiatus and I haven't posted anything at the moment, I'm going to upload sketches and little drawings I've made. Oh no? Yoko Oh no? Yoko oh yes.
I just saw Hot Fuzz at the local theatre, and I think I nearly puked awesome by the time it ended. Simon Pegg and Edgar Wright are still freaking awesome in the movie business. It makes me want to see Grindhouse. I VANT TO SEE IT!!
It's full of horrible hore and violence. Quite unlike their other films.

I was looking up stuff about the Nekojiru comic ( What the film Cat Soup hailed from) and I came across something about her.
She died in 1998 by commiting suicide.
It might seem feasable to some people seeing how tripped out her work was, but after I read it, there was more to it. It's an unusual story. Even if you don't know who she is or have seen her stuff I would definately consider looking at this.
For example: Jean "Mobius" Giraud. He's popular ( not much in the US since the 80's), and it's incredibly difficult to get ahold of his translated stuff. Recently he wrote a manga called Icaro with the cartoonist Jiro Taniguchi. I only read the second part of it, but it's pretty good. The only comics other than Icaro I have found in English are a few of the Blueberry comics, which take place in the wild west. It's good and well drawn, but I like his sci fi stuff better ( Er, art I mean. I haven't read any of it) The only problem is, where is it? ( Ebay scares me).
And Johan et Pirlouit. It isn't as popular as it's spinoff, 'The Smurfs'. However, as annoying as the smurfs were, this comic isn't. Johan is the noble squire and Pirlouit is....loud. Loud and all sorts of awesome. Originally it was a one-shot for Spirou, more of a historical fiction than a fantasy story, only with Johan it it. I haven't read any of the french versions, only the two that were released in English around 95, thus I can't tell you if it was good or not. There was a television series by Hanna Barbara released only in French, but it seems rare to find now, even in France.
THE BEST FRENCH COMIC.....other than Tintin. I don't need to explain Asterix. You figure it out!
